The most common treatment for cancer is the infusion of anti-cancer medications or chemotherapy. Since every person is unique, side affects and treatment results of the infusions are also unique to each patient. Our physicians and nursing staff monitor each patient’s progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure side affects, if any, are controlled and the maximum treatment benefit is achieved.
Chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy and infusions of various medications including antibiotics are delivered by experienced ONS certified nurses in the comfortable setting of our Infusion Center which is complete with wireless access, cable television and reading materials. Our registered nurses have extensive experience caring for patients with cancer and blood disorders.
We also provide a number of non-cancer related infusions including therapies for Crohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis, and many more.
We are specially trained in the administration of these types of infusions and in managing their side effects. As with chemotherapy, the length and duration of treatment varies from patient to patient. Again, we encourage you to be proactive and to take advantage of our educational services.
