Unless we can assure cure in all cancers, which we obviously cannot (yet!), we need clinical trials to evaluate the effectiveness of new drugs or treatment strategies. The development of better cancer treatments requires that new and innovative therapies be evaluated in patients. Indeed, all new cancer drugs that are cu imrrently available were once only accessible in clinical trials. Our goal is to offer you access to a wide array of investigator initiated clinical trials, cooperative group clinical trials and pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials without the need to travel long distances or to other parts of the country. You and your physician here at OC Blood & Cancer Care should decide whether or not participation in a clinical trial is appropriate.
If you are not a current patient but you are interested in learning more about clinical trial treatments we have available please call to make an appointment specifying your upcoming visit is for that purpose so as we can appropriately prepare and accommodate you.
