Dr. Jack F. Jacoub

Dr. Jack F. Jacoub

Dr. Jacoub is currently the medical director of OC Blood & Cancer Care as well as the director for the Thoracic Oncology Program at the Memorial Cancer Institute and a former assistant clinical professor at UCI.

He did his undergraduate studies at the UCI followed by completion of his medical education at RU School of Medicine in 1998. Thereafter he did his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada where he was selected to serve as the Chief Medical Resident for an additional academic year. His specialty training was completed at the George Washington University, School of Medicine and Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, both in Washington, D.C. and the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. He was selected the resident of the year as well as the clinical fellow of the year at his respective training programs. He was also inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society.

Dr. Jacoub has received several awards in clinical research and has been published. He is or has been a principal investigator or sub-investigator for numerous oncology clinical trials and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.

He has a particular interest in lung and breast cancer but also intestinal cancer, lymphoma, leukemia, gynecologic cancer, genitourinary cancer and blood clotting disorders.

He is originally from New York but has called Southern California home for nearly 30 years. During his free time (which is not often) he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, scuba-diving, riding his motorcycle and playing sports.

Dr. Collin Vu

Dr. Collin Vu

Dr. Vu is originally from the Napa Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular and Cell biology where he graduated with Honors. Thereafter, he obtained his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego where he was given a prestigious Regent’s scholarship. His medical residency and specialty training in Hematology and Medical Oncology were subsequently completed at the University of California, Irvine where his research interests were varied and included pre-clinical testing of novel agents for Acute Leukemia. Dr. Vu joined OC Blood & Cancer Care in 2010. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Vu’s has many outside interests including computer programming and outdoor sports.

Dr. Amol R. Rao

Dr. Amol R. Rao

Dr. Rao is originally from Fremont in the Bay Area. He spent his undergraduate years at the University of California, Los Angeles majoring in Psychobiology and went on to complete his medical degree at St. George’s University in 2007. His internship and residency in Internal Medicine were completed at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. During residency, he spent time at Memorial Sloan Kettering in specialized lymphoma and leukemia wards and also focused his research on immunotherapy in melanoma. After completing residency in 2010, he spent an additional postdoctoral research year at UCLA in continued immunotherapy research. Dr. Rao’s specialty training in Hematology and Oncology was completed at the University of Southern California / Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles where he was selected to serve as Chief Fellow.

Dr. Rao is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology and treats adults with all types of solid tumors, malignant hematologic conditions, and benign disorders of the blood, including bleeding and clotting issues. He has a wide variety of clinical experience having worked in an NCI-designated cancer center, private hospitals, and county hospital settings. He has written a book for patients with lung cancer and has published research in the field of immunotherapy. He has also written and participated in a variety of clinical trials. His research interests are varied with a particular interest in genitourinary malignancies, including cancers of the kidney, bladder, and prostate.

Dr. Rao’s outside interests including traveling, biking, and scuba diving.

Houshang Moayeri, M.D.

Dr. Moayeri graduated from Tehran University Medical School. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo affiliated hospitals, of his fellowship in medical oncolory at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Following completion research grants. He was appointed as research assistant professor at State University of New York at Buffalo. He moved to California and stated private practice in Orange County.

He was appointed as clinical assistant professor at UCI in 1982, and retired from UCI as clinical professor recently. He has been Chief of Staff at Huntington Beach Hospital twice for a total of five years. He is member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology(ASCO). His work has appeared in several medical publications. Dr. Moayeri joined OC Blood & Cancer Care in June of 2015.

Dr. Multani is originally from Long Island, New York and has relocated to the Orange County area in 2013. He spent his undergraduate years at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania completing a bachelors degree in chemistry and then went on to complete his medical degree at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Multani then went on to complete his internal medicine residency and fellowship in hematology/oncology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Multani has been in private practice since completing his fellowship in 2010 and has been a clinical instructor at The Commonwealth Medical College prior to relocating to the orange county area in 2013.

 

Dr. Multani is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology and treats all adults with solid tumors, malignant and benign hematologic disorders. Dr. Multani is currently a clinical instructor at Midwestern University College of Osteopathic medicine and has been a sub-investigator on several oncology clinical trials. Dr. Multani’s outside interests are spending time with his family, traveling, photography, hiking, and snowboarding.
